Dyslexia, the Gift - Why is dyslexia a gift?
There is a positive side to dyslexia which is, more often than not, ignored. People with dyslexia are visual, multi-dimensional thinkers. They are intuitive and highly creative, excelling at hands-on learning. They have the ability to think outside the square, to be creative, and for this reason, dyslexia is often referred to as a gift. People with dyslexia can learn to read, write and study efficiently when they use methods geared to their unique learning style.
"Dyslexia is not a complexity. It is a compound of simple factors which can be dealt with step-bystep. At dyslexia's root is a natural ability, a talent. The gift of dyslexia is the gift of mastery."
- Ronald D Davis, author of "The Gift of Dyslexia"
